Brett D. Reese

Brett ReeseBrett Reese serves as Managing Principal and Chairman of the Board of Rebound Enterprises, LLC, an investment and advisory company he formed 25 years ago that works with emerging, growth and financially troubled companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, real estate, hospitality and banking. Rebound also has a community philanthropy component that gives time, talent, treasures and thinking to a variety of community organizations.

Reese also serves as Chairman of the Board and majority owner of Northfield Automation Systems, Inc. (NAS). He helped management spin this company out of FMC Frigoscandia in 2000. NAS builds custom automation equipment, including unwind / rewind machines for a variety of markets, including flexible circuit, solar, flex battery, display and RFID.

Prior to Northfield Automation Systems, Reese held various leadership and management positions with manufacturers and turnaround situations including serving as Chairman and majority owner of Motion Control Group, Inc. (MCG), a provider of motor solutions to the motion controlled and commercial marketplace. Through the leadership of Reese, MCG was sold in 2008 to Ametek, a NYSE listed company, providing a substantial return to shareholders.

Reese serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Northfield. First National is an independent, community bank since 1872. He has co-founded and served as the initial chairman of several organizations, including 3C Capital, a local angel investment group, and the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation, a group promoting and advancing downtown Northfield.

He has served many nonprofit organizations and is currently on the Board of the Northfield City Hospital and is a member of the Northfield Roundtable Group. Reese is a former board member of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce, Southeastern Minnesota Initiative Fund, Prairie Creek Community School and Northfield Enterprise Center among others.

Reese is an active member of Northfield Rotary Club serving as a past president and board member and is also an active member of Rejoice Lutheran Church where he serves on the building committee and is a leader in the local Marketplace Ministries movement.

Reese graduated in 1981 from Luther College located in Decorah, Iowa, with a B.A. in accounting and political science. Upon graduating from college, he worked as an auditor with Grant Thornton and is a CPA. He makes his home in Northfield, Minnesota, with his wife, Michele, and two daughters, Meredith and Millie.
